Yet MORE on D

Yet another report! Vitamin D deficiency increases risk of type 2 diabetes for patients with HIV.

They noted that nearly TWO THIRDS of HIV+ people had low levels of vitamin D.

All we can suggest is a) get your blood level tested. If it is low, supplement. Get retested. LOW however is in dispute and we feel the Institute of Medicine’s interpretation of below 30 nmol/l is too low. Between 30 and 50 is also considered to be a zone that may reflect a too low level. But there is some concern that their recent report was compromised by someone on the panel trying to make a killing on a patented synthetic version. When will SCIENCE return to medicine and health??
